The world is a very big place, but no matter how far away I travel, West Virginia holds a special place in my heart. It’s where I was born and raised, it’s where Mylan was founded nearly 57 years ago and it’s where I began my career with the company.
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to travel home on country roads and celebrate the holidays with our employees in Morgantown. Every time I am in front of our employees I can't help but be incredibly proud of their genuine commitment to deliver better health for a better world, a better America and, in this case, a better West Virginia.
Mylan is one of the state’s largest employers, and it’s where we produced 17 billion tablets and capsules in 2016, have our largest manufacturing facility and one of our global R&D centers. In many ways, West Virginia is the hub of what we do in the U.S. and a lot of what we do in the world.
To every Mylan employee who works in Morgantown, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your hard work, attention to quality and focus on serving other people – whether they live around the corner or around the world!
And to everyone else reading this post, I encourage you to hear directly from some of Mylan’s finest by viewing this short video:
