Heather Bresch
Executive Vice President
Chief Operating Officer

Heather Bresch serves as Mylan’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), where she is responsible for the Company’s global commercial and technical operations, strategic planning, business development and international affairs. In addition to her role as COO, she oversees the integration of Mylan’s recent acquisition of Merck Generics.

Throughout her 15 year career with Mylan, Ms. Bresch has held various positions with increasing responsibility within the Company. Most recently, she served as Mylan’s Head of North American Operations and Chief Integration Officer. As Head of North American Operations, Ms. Bresch was responsible for Mylan’s operations including Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Mylan Technologies, and UDL Laboratories. In her role as Chief Integration Officer, she managed the successful integration of Matrix Laboratories, in which Mylan took a controlling stake in January of 2007, and has been leading the integration team working with Merck Generics. Prior to these positions, she served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Development in the Office of the CEO.

In addition to her responsibilities within Mylan, Ms. Bresch has served two consecutive terms as Chairman of the Generic Pharmaceutical Association (GPhA) and one term as GPhA’s Vice Chairman. She has been active on critical industry issues, including the passage of the 2003 Medicare Modernization Act, a Congressional revision to the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 that focused on ensuring consumers’ access to affordable pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Bresch received an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University.
