Edward J. Borkowski
Executive Vice President
Chief Financial Officer

Edward J. Borkowski was named Chief Financial Officer of Mylan Inc. in March 2002.

Prior to joining Mylan, Mr. Borkowski was Vice President, Global Finance and Information Technology, for the Consumer Healthcare Division of Pharmacia Corporation. He joined Pharmacia as Assistant Vice President, North American Finance and Administration in 1999.

At Pharmacia, Mr. Borkowski was a member of the senior management team driving the company's growth and acquisition strategy. He also established and built the Consumer Healthcare Division's global finance group, which provided streamlined business reporting to the senior leadership team.

From 1992 to1999, Mr. Borkowski served in a variety of finance positions at American Home Products, rising to the level of Comptroller for the Cyanamid Agricultural Products Division. His responsibilities at Cyanamid included SEC reporting, accounting policy, banking relationships and financial modeling of M&A activities.

Mr. Borkowski is a certified public accountant who began his career with Arthur Andersen working primarily in its pharmaceutical practice where he served as the engagement manager for Merck & Co. for nearly ten years.

Mr. Borkowski is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs. From 1996 to 1999, he served as a Director of Benchmark Federal Credit Union.

Mr. Borkowski received his bachelor's of science in economics and political science from Allegheny College and earned his MBA in finance and accounting from Rutgers University.
