Dey L.P. is Mylan’s specialty pharmaceutical business. The company develops, manufactures and markets innovative airway and allergy medications and is among the top ten companies participating in the $16 billion respiratory market through leading products including DuoNeb®, Perforomist™ and EpiPen®. Dey is the No. 1 provider of nebulized products; No. 3 in the COPD market; and EpiPen® has 96% of the market for the treatment of severe allergic reaction.

Mylan owns a controlling interest in Matrix Laboratories, which has the second largest API portfolio in the world. Based in Hyderabad, India, Matrix provides more API for antiretrovirals (ARV) used in the treatment of HIV/AIDS than any other company, leading the way in driving down the cost of HIV/AIDS medications. Matrix, itself, has several operating units including:
- A network of 10 API manufacturing facilities across India, China and South Africa. Eight of these facilities have Global Regulatory approvals.
- Docpharma, a distributor of generic pharmaceuticals in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg
- Astrix Laboratories, a 50% owned joint venture (with Aspen Pharmacare) that manufactures ARV API and is based in India
