Already the second-largest generic pharmaceutical company in the United States, Mylan continues to expand its presence in the United States, the largest pharmaceutical market in the world and a market increasingly reliant on generics. Mylan also has a significant and well-established presence in the Canadian pharmaceutical market. The North American businesses include Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc., Genpharm ULC, Mylan Technologies Inc. and UDL Laboratories Inc.

Mylan operates throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), with manufacturing, packaging, distribution and marketing capabilities throughout the region. These businesses presently hold top-five positions in several markets, including No. 1 positions in France and Portugal. Mylan also has a strong presence – and significant opportunities for growth – in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Ireland.

Mylan EMEA businesses include those that operate under the "Mylan" name in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Scandinavia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and South Africa.
